KNOW THE GAP: Women, Climate & Our Future

Today, feminists around the world are coming together to raise awareness and mobilize for the socialization and implementation of the Belém Gender Action Plan (GAP) — while centering feminist solidarity, resistance, leadership, and collective action.

🇱🇷 For women in Liberia, climate justice is deeply connected to our everyday realities. Women in communities affected by environmental degradation, land loss, climate impacts, and natural resource extraction continue to experience these challenges while also leading community-based solutions and defending their rights.

The Belém Gender Action Plan provides an important opportunity to ensure that women’s lived experiences, knowledge, leadership, and priorities are reflected in climate action at national and global levels.

Today, we stand in solidarity with feminists everywhere demanding meaningful participation, gender-responsive climate action, accountability, and implementation.
