Across Liberia, women are organizing, building solidarity, defending their rights, and shaping the future of their communities.

The Natural Resource Women Platform (NRWP) is a feminist, women-led grassroots movement committed to strengthening the collective power of women whose lives and livelihoods depend on land and natural resources.

Working across 11 of Liberia’s 15 counties, we bring together rural women, Indigenous women, women farmers, women in concession-affected communities, and Women Human Rights Defenders to advance land justice, climate justice, environmental accountability, and economic empowerment.

Our approach goes beyond individual empowerment. We invest in grassroots leadership, community organizing, collective advocacy, knowledge building, and sustainable livelihood initiatives that enable women to influence decisions and drive lasting change.

Our movement is built on a simple conviction: women must be at the center of decisions about their land, their resources, their livelihoods, and their future.
